If you want to be right in the heart of Hong Kong's bustling energy, Central is the place to be. This area is especially a good choice for those wondering where to stay in Hong Kong for the first time. You'll be surrounded by famous landmarks like the historic Legislative Council Building and the modern International Finance Centre.
For a truly Hong Kong experience, take the Central-Mid-Levels escalator, the world's longest outdoor covered escalator. You'll get a great view of the neighborhood as you ride up.
If you need a break from the city noise, visit Hong Kong Park, a peaceful green space. Shoppers can enjoy the luxury stores at IFC Mall or find unique items on Hollywood Road. To get a stunning view of the city and harbor, we highly recommend taking a ride up to Victoria Peak. It's an unforgettable experience!

Strategically situated adjacent to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, this hotel is an excellent option for business travelers and leisure visitors alike.

Tsim Sha Tsui - Great Area for Stunning Views
Tsim Sha Tsui, or TST, is the best area to stay in Hong Kong to enjoy beautiful views of the city's skyline. Located at the tip of the Kowloon Peninsula, this lively neighborhood offers a prime vantage point for admiring Hong Kong's iconic cityscape.
In addition to its breathtaking views, Tsim Sha Tsui boasts a variety of attractions, including the Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The waterfront promenade is a must-visit, where you can stroll along the harbor, admire the skyscrapers across Victoria Harbour, and witness the mesmerizing Symphony of Lights show.
Tsim Sha Tsui also has a thriving dining scene, with many restaurants offering delicious food and incredible views. Aqua, located on the 29th floor of One Peking, serves up Italian-Japanese fusion cuisine and breathtaking vistas. Yau Ma Tei - Where to Stay for Old Hong Kong Vibes

This hotel offers easy access to all that Mong Kok has to offer, from the night markets to the shopping malls. We were particularly impressed with the hotel’s eco-friendly initiatives, including energy-saving devices and a focus on sustainability. The hotel’s facilities, including a fitness center and a restaurant offering both Western and Asian cuisine, make it a comfortable base for exploring the city.
Luxury stay: The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong
While technically located in the nearby West Kowloon area, The Ritz-Carlton is the pinnacle of luxury and is just a short distance from Yau Ma Tei. Situated atop the International Commerce Centre (ICC), this five-star hotel provides breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour and the city skyline.
The Outlying Islands - Best Place for Seaside Vibes
Hong Kong is often associated with its bustling city life, but it also offers stunning beaches, rugged landscapes, and beautiful hiking trails. If you have time, take a boat to one of the Outlying Islands for a more relaxed pace of life.
Lamma Island, known for its bohemian atmosphere, is a popular destination for expats and visitors seeking a peaceful escape. Car-free Lamma offers beautiful beaches and a tranquil seaside vibe. Cheng Chau and Ma Wan are also worth exploring, with their charming fishing villages and quaint beaches.
